Aion's Patch 1.9 is now live
The Aion Team has decided to welcome Patch 1.9 with a hilarious new video and happy players all around
In addition to releasing Patch 1.9 , the Aion Team has also released a new video in the same theme as their "The More You MMO" vidseries.
New 1.9 patch notes was up on the official Aion site last night, the note is very long so I'm not gonna move it over.

Greetings and salutations, fellow Daevas!
We are ecstatically happy to announce that Aion v1.9 is up on our live servers. That’s right! The much-anticipated update has (after an extended maintenance period) reached the shores of reality and is available now on all European and North American servers.

UPDATE: The update servers are currently under a lot of strain, they may seem to be unresponsive or cause a connection error. Please be patient while the patch server deals with the initial spike of traffic!
UPDATE 2: We've determined that clicking the "Force Launch" button may cause your update progress to be lost. It can in some cases be the reason for your client update starting over from the beginning.

Are you ready?
The patch has been available to download in increments over the past week.
To start your download, just open the NCSoft launcher. The download will "trickle" the download in the background whenever the launcher is open. Using this method, you should be able to continue playing Aion while it downloads.
If you want to download the patch faster than the "trickle" method, just select 'Check for Updates' on the Aion drop down menu within the NCsoft launcher. This will launch a progress bar so you can see how much more you need to download.
You can check whether you are ready by navigating to your Aion folder ( i.e. C:/Program Files/NCSoft/Aion/ ) and checking for the existence of a file named 'Aion_Main_1.5.1.15To1.9.0.0.ncpatch'. If it is complete, the file should be approximately 3.2gb.
The patch will automatically apply itself to your game installation once the servers are back online after the maintenance period on Wednesday, 2nd June.
