Getting Started
You must seek a Mining Trainer out in order to pick up the mining profession at beginning.This is not necessary,but is very important if you want to save your time.The trainer who will teach you the rough and gritty art of mining! After trainning, you will be an apprentice miner and have to pay only a few copper to pick up the profession.
Mineral Veins
Mineral veins are scattered across the landscape on rocky mountainous areas, hills, and inside of various caves. They have static spawns, but random respawn times. The respawn time can be from a few minutes to a few hours, so it’s generally a good idea to never wait around on a vein to respawn.

Toughness
As a miner,you might spend a lot of time digging things out of the ground. Smelting
Smelting isturning into refined materials (bars)and taking the raw materials (ore). All of the non-rare metals simply require one ore to smelt it into a bar. Rare materials, such as Dark Iron require multiple ores and some even require other materials!
Also, please remember that mining nodes only appear on the side of hills, cliffs, mountains etc. So your unlikely to find any ores in the great rolling plains, unless there is a small hill there. Also note that Darnassus has NO ore whatsoever! So if you’re a Night Elf and want to mine, get your booty over to Darkshore as soon as possible. So with that in mind, always follow the cliff faces or hillsides.
